Hazard Avenue Bikeway Project

Project Overview

The Hazard Avenue Bikeway is more than just a bicycling path – it’s a major step in improving safety for all road users. The construction of the bikeway will provide an important link to existing and future planned bikeways, which will enable residents and visitors to bike and walk safely to key destinations, such as schools, parks, and retail centers. A safe, protected bicycling environment enhances mobility options and reduces car-dependency for all.

The Hazard Avenue Bikeway will be a Class IV bikeway along Hazard Avenue. A Class IV bikeway, sometimes referred to as a “cycle track,” is separated from motor traffic and is designed to provide a safer bicycling environment for all ages and skill levels.
